Laura Marie Therese Garland, (B.A, M.A, [QUB]) French, Transfer Test Preparation
In 2009 Laura graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a first class degree in Modern History and French. She was awarded an M.A Scholarship from the School of Politics, Philosophy and International Studies in 2009 and graduated with a Master of Arts in Comparative Ethnic Conflict. Her dissertation focusing on the youth struggle for identity in the working-class suburbs of Paris.
She is currently writing her Ph.D thesis in the French contribution to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which is funded by the Department of Education and Learning.
So far Laura's students have been an eclectic mix, including a mother and daughter who have since moved to France, an area manager in Ireland for a European clothes company, a local government civil servant and a movie set carpenter. She is happy to teach anyone who has a passion for the French language and culture and will structure lessons entirely on the student's needs. She is able to take on students from beginner's level to A-Level exam preparation.
Laura is also available for training Primary level children for their transfer examinations, having had experience with 5 other children who sat the 11+ and all achieved a grade B2 or above.

Joseph Greenwood (H.N.D, B.A [MMU], M.A [QUB]) English Literature, Theatre Studies
Joseph Greenwood is a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, where he in 2009 was awarded a First-Class Honours degree and the distinction of being the recipient of the Head of Department Prize for achieving the highest grades. He was awarded an ARHC Scholarship to study for an Master of Arts in Irish Theatre and Culture in Queen's University Belfast from which he graduated in 2010 with Distinction. He is now writing a Ph.D thesis in the use of song in Irish theatre and holds the prestigious position of Brian Friel Scholar. He also fulfils the role of Teaching Assistant in the School of Drama, and has presented at many academic conferences.
Joseph is available to tutor to undergraduate level in English Literature and Theatre Studies, and is also available for proof-reading written work.

Fiona Donnelly (B.A, QUB) Transfer Test, Mathematics, Piano.
Fiona graduated from St. Mary's University College, a teaching University which forms part of the Queen's University Belfast in 2012. She is a qualified Primary School teacher who specialises in Mathematics.
Currently employed as a Primary School Teacher, Fiona is available to tutor in Mathematics to GCSE Level, and mainly, prepare Primary Seven pupils for their Transfer Exams.
Fiona is also a highly accomplished musician and tutors both young and old in piano.
